Midtown office space, designated as properties between the City of London and the West End, has long been considered an attractive business proposition.
A legal history
With the Royal Courts of Justice in the heart of this area, Midtown office space has been rented by law firms and their subsidiary industries, creating an almost exclusively legal enclave. However, a recent revitalisation of the Midtown brand and some street redevelopment has made the community far more diverse.
A more diverse crowd
Now, a large number of media and tech firms are moving into Midtown office space, leaving Covent Garden and Soho to rent cheaper, Grade A floorplates. Saatchi and Saatchi and Framestore, for example, are now both on Chancery Lane.
Close to everything
There is more to a Midtown office than cost effectiveness though. Holborn offers good connections north, south, east and west, thanks to the Central and Piccadilly lines.
And on foot, it is close to everything. High Holborn has a number of convenient eateries, and leads to the food stalls of Leather Lane. Farringdon’s vibrant nightlife is a short stroll. Covent Garden is an easy walk too.
Right now, Midtown is a hugely interesting commercial property market, with a whole raft of high-quality space. There is more in the pipeline too, as developers invest in what is becoming a very well located and exciting area.
