With a good variety of leased and serviced offices, the Docklands has very much benefitted from the wider Canary Wharf revitalisation. It is slightly less well connected, with fewer amenities on its doorstep – but this does mean it is much better value.
A good value financial hub
That value has led to a number of larger financial institutions using the area as a base for back office operations. Not least because the properties tick all the boxes: large footplate tower buildings with high specification finishes.
These buildings are also home to smaller businesses who want the proximity to the blue-chip financial district without the blue-chip price band.
A surprisingly enjoyable lifestyle
Aside from the good value space to be found here, there are a good number of other benefits to Docklands and outside Canary Wharf. For example, the giant Asda Superstore on the Isle of Dogs is a hugely convenient boon. And secondly, Mudchute Park and Farm is a wonderful open space to enjoy before, during and after work.
The three-acre Island Gardens, on the southern tip, is also a great place to picnic, with extraordinary views and a useful footbridge under the Thames to Greenwich.

Docklands has a good availability of office space, and a busy pipeline means there will be plenty of quality office stock in the near future which is good news for occupiers who want to benefit from this well connected but lower cost location.
